School is out, but we are still celebrating and announcing our WINS! Congratulations to Aberdeen High School and Belle Shivers Middle School on Thursday, May 23, 2024. AHS had 99% attendance and BSMS had 98% attendance. They met and exceeded the district's 95% ADA goal! Congratulations! EVERYDAY counts!

Congratulations: Aberdeen School District has been named an All-Star eSpark District for 2023-24! Five of our teachers have been using eSpark with fidelity to improve learning outcomes in reading, writing, and math this school year. Our top teacher was Michelle Pilate.
Students using eSpark in the classrooms have mastered 215 standards and are among the top classrooms nationwide!

As we plan for the upcoming school year, it's time to start preparing for back-to-school registration! Please make sure you have all the required documents ready. This includes:
- Proof of residency
- Immunization records
- Birth certificates
- Previous school records (if applicable)
Having these documents prepared will help ensure a smooth and efficient registration process. Registration begins June 10-27, 2024. Registration codes will be included with report cards.

Our 2024 Aberdeen High School Commencement Ceremony is tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. we are currently forecasting a 30% chance of rain. Please come prepared for the possibility of wet weather to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.
Bring stadium seats, rain jackets/ponchos to stay dry and comfortable.
Be prepared for a potential delayed start if it is raining at the scheduled commencement time.
Graduates, please be mindful of the ground conditions. We recommend wearing blocked heels or flats to avoid sinking into the ground with stilettos. Your safety is our chief concern.

Congratulations to Belle Shivers Middle School for achieving the 95% daily attendance goal yesterday. Let's continue to strive towards this goal. Our school district will be dismissed on May 24th for the summer. We are proud of you!
This week we are heading into our final state tests in Math(all grades) & Science(5th & 8th grade). Mr. Hawkins has been busy working with his 8th graders to give them a final push!
Donnie Sloan & Cruz Jimenez from Amory Fire Department visited the Monroe County Career and Tech Center yesterday and demonstrated the “jaws of life,” where the students were able to use special tools to cut their “patient” out of the truck. Our students really enjoyed themselves while learning important life saving tips.
Today, Counselor Dowden is working on individual student plans with the 7th grade. Parents, please ask your child what they learned today from this session.
Congratulations to Aberdeen Elementary School; yesterday, May 1, 2024, they met the average daily attendance goal of 95%. Way to go, AES; keep up the great work! Attendance matters!
