Aberdeen School District Participates in "Promote The Vote" Mock Election!
Today, our students experienced democracy in action through the "Promote The Vote" Mock Election! Students from each school got a firsthand look at what it’s like to step up to the polls, cast a ballot, and make their voices heard. They were truly intrigued by the process, sparking meaningful conversations about civic duty and the power of voting.
Teaching students about voting from an early age instills a lifelong appreciation for participation in democracy. By understanding their role as future voters, they’re learning the importance of being informed, active citizens who can shape their community and country.
A special thank you to our dedicated school principals, counselors, librarians, teachers, and to Ray Van Dusen, Allie Martin, and Alvin Ivy for always showing up and capturing our story. Your support makes moments like these possible!
Way to go, students—our future leaders!
