Aberdeen School District Welcomes New Director of Bands, Ms. Halle Mims, to Aberdeen School District
Aberdeen, MS, June 3, 2024 - Aberdeen School District is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ms. Halle Mims as the new Director of Bands for Aberdeen High School. With a contagious enthusiasm for music and an unwavering commitment to her students, Ms. Mims brings a wealth of experience and passion to her new role.
In her own words, Ms. Mims exclaimed, "She believed she could, so she did! Well, it’s official, I DID! By the Grace of God himself, I am now the Director of Bands for Aberdeen High School! My HOME! Everyone knows how passionate I am about music and my love for these kids! We have a lot of work to do, and with YOUR HELP, it will get done! It’s TIME! Thank you again, and I am ready for this new journey!"
Ms. Mims is deeply dedicated to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment within the band program. Her vision for the Aberdeen High School band program is growth, excellence, and inclusivity, where every student can thrive and develop their musical talents.
As Ms. Mims embarks on this new journey, she thanks the entire Aberdeen community for their support. She looks forward to working with students, parents, faculty, and staff to elevate the band program to new heights.
